Hi all.
First of, im from Denmark (that's why I write in English), but feel free to reply in swedish - I can kinda understand it all.
This is my first post here, but thought that you would like to see my little project ive been wanting to do for a very long time and finally got time to do it.
After alot of research of LED bulbs meant for turn signals I decided to plunge out a whooping $200 US dollars for 4. V3 Triton LED Amber bulbs (cause ive read that these were the best on the market - and totally plug n play).
Was totally excited when the mailman arrived with the bulbs 2 weeks after I put the order down, and the bulbs sure looks the part - even when not connected.
I rushed out to my car, just to find out that it was totally impossible to mount them up front, because the new cee'd uses a multiconnector for the whole headlight which gives power out to all of the bulbs in the headlight through one connector. Not that plug n play that I hoped for (the rear was very easy to install - 2 screws out and change the bulbs - done).
Luckily I have a friend that is working as a autoelectrician, so he helped me out locating the right wires and getting the bulbs mounted perfect.
And the end result is just plain AWESOME. Im totally over the moon by this upgrade, even thou my wife thinks im crazy and really can't see the difference (heh).
So what is the advantage you say?
1. Much brighter that the original OEM bulb, potential safer.
2. No more yellow 'pancake' look in the headlight.
3. Looks the part.
4. ON/OFF light, which LED's are known for.
And now for the fun part
Pics & video.
